| In recent times due to the high unemployment figures and recession, many ASU andunemployment cover providers have stopped doing unemployment only policies. However there are still a few left and we are pleased to say that we deal with some. In the main there are 2 ways in which you can cover your income with unemployment cover. First - You could use a MPPI or mortgage payment protection insurance policy. These will allow you to cover your mortgage payment and mortgage related expenses such as endowments, insurance etc. The downside is that you may have other payment such as car loans, childcare, maintenance payments and bills still outstanding. Second - You could apply for unemployment cover through a commitments plan ASU policy. These are more flexible and allow you to cover up to 90% of your normal net income. Commitments that can be covered include: mortgage and other loan repayments, home rental, insurance premiums, utility bills, telephone bills, TV licence, Sky/ cable TV, gym membership, pension plans and many other categories of regular financial commitments. Unemployment cover is not for everyone so the policies we provide can cover Accident, Sickness & Unemployment (ASU), Accident & Sickness Only (AS) or Unemployment only (U);s.
