The data refers to data compiled between 1st of January 2008 and 31st of December 2008. - Number of Critical Illness Claims Paid = 230. - Value of claims paid = £19 million. - Average age of claimant = 44 years old. - Average number of months insurance in force before claim = 31 months. - Average amount of claims paid = £77,954. Decline Rate = 9%. - Decline cases due to not meeting definition = 59%. - Declined cases due to Non Disclosure = 41% Below is a graph that shows the average age percentages of each of the claims.
